Type of Project- 2nd Story Addition: 2 Bedrooms, Game Room and a Full Bath

Location- Yukon, Oklahoma

Year of Completion- 1996

This project was featured on the cover of the Real Estate Magazine, in the Daily Oklahoman (March 1, 1997)

Original Goals for this Project: Utilize the large existing attic to design and build 2 Bedrooms, a Game Room and a Full Bath.  One of the Homeowner's concerns was how the new staircase would be integrated into their existing floorplan.  A side note to this project the Homeowner confided in us early on that they had consulted with one of Oklahoma's largest Contractors and had been told a 2nd Story Addition to their home could not be built (we believe the truth to be, they either didn't have the man power or possibly the expertise to build a project of this complexity).

Sometimes not getting your first choice pays off.  That was the case on this project, because during the design phase we found the existing brick was no longer available, so we were forced to change to an accent rock.  As it turned out, the exciting new facade leads us to believe our second choice was the right choice!

 Staircase
This view (taken as you walk in the front door) shows how the beautiful new staircase blends in with the existing decor.

This photo, taken from the top of the staircase, shows the doorway leading to the Full Bath on the right and at the end of the Balcony and to the left is the doorway leading into one of the Bedrooms for this project (as shown below).
